The bow can be many things. It can be a greeting, a show of respect, or a quiet way of thanking someone. It can be a great tool in navigating the social hierarchy of some countries.
Here at Anime Watcher/Manga Reader, the bow can another thing; sexy. Purposely embarrassing and accidently sexy, the bow can be very quite arousing. With that in mind, we come to two of the sexiest bows in manga history: Yukino's in Fairy Tail and Asuza Fuyutsuki's from Great Teacher Onizuka. So, which bow is better? Let's find out.

First, let's examine the circumstances of each. Fuyutsuki's bow comes as a result of some pretty messed up circumstances. How messed up? Basically, she gets beaten up by three female students, who then cut off and steal her panties and cut her skirt very short. The students then send out a message to alert the school that she isn't wearing any underwear, as she walks down the hall, brokenhearted, defeated, and embarrassed. Finally, she attended an impromptu meeting in the school gym and, in front of the entire student body, bows and apologizes to the other teachers for being late, giving everyone a little bit of a tease in the process.
Yukino's bow, on the other hand, is as senseless as everything else in Fairy Tail. It starts as she is being kicked out of the Sabertooth guild. The leader forces her to remove her guild tattoo in front of the entire guild, which she does. Then, she kowtows (butt exposed to the entire guild, mind you) and thanks (?) him.
Now then, let's examine the bows themselves. Fuyutsuki's is an apology bow. She's drawn from the back and even though she's in a super miniskirt she's still fully clothed, technically. She comes oh so close to showing the goods, but manages to keep everything hidden, not an easy feat considering her skirt length and how deeply she bows.

Yukino's bow, on the other hand, is no ordinary bow. It's a kowtow, drawn from both the front and the back. Keeping in mind that she's totally naked, there's no way she can pull this off without everyone seeing...well...everything. Heck, the only thing keeping readers from seeing everything is a strategically placed speech bubble. Of course, they could have drawn it from the side or just stuck with the original front view, but I guess that wouldn't have been sexy enough for us thirsty readers.

Comparing the bows, there are many similarities between them. Both girls are humiliated, at their absolute lowest points, totally comprised, and accidently sexy. Both are manga exclusives as the Angel Arc of GTO isn't in the anime and Yukino does NOT bow in the Fairy Tail anime.
Another similarity that readers may not have thought about; they both willingly further their own humiliation. Think about it. Nobody told Fuyutsuki she had to bow and if she had chosen not to, I'm pretty sure the other faculty members would have understood. The same with Yukino. Jiemma did make her strip and remove her guild mark, but he didn't force her to bow down, much less perform a very embarrasing kowtow. She could have easily just walked away, as Jiemma simply wanted nothing to do with her after she removed her mark.
So, who's bow is better? Yukino's bow no doubt has more raw sex appeal because she totally naked and not a bad looking girl. Fuyutsuki, on the other hand, keeps it classy while still remaining sexy. Fuyutsuki's bow seemed to have more meaning to her character's development, with her questioning why she became a teacher in the first place. As sexy as it is, Yukino's bow is just Fairy Tail exploiting yet another girl. It's a tough decision, but when it comes to bowing, Fuyutsuki does it better. But that's just my opinion. What's yours?
