Am I The Only One Who Thinks This Is Funny? 4

For those who have read early entries here at Anime Watcher/Manga Reader, it's no mystery that I'm a fan of the Mary Saotome character from the Kakegurui series.  I was absolutely thrilled when I walked into the bookstore one day and saw that Mary, in fact, had her own series, Kakegurui Twin.  I can safely say that Mary is my favorite of the Kakegurui characters.

So, what's to like about Mary?  On top of seemingly being the most sane girl in the series, she's resourceful, hard-working, driven, and yes, she's quite cute.  She the polar opposite of protagonist Yumeko, who's insane, privileged, and...also very cute.  Mary is also the source some of the laughs I get from the series.  While she doesn't have anything that quite stands up to this barb Yumeko puts on Yuriko...

She may be insulting her, but at least she has proper posture.
She has hilarious moments of her own.  We start off with this gem, after becoming Yumeko's first victim.

This is what being up Shit Creek looks like.
Then, we have Mary in a head-to-head with her own first victim.

Mary looks funny when she's pissed.
Next, Mary gets the better of a student council member's dealer.  When a character overcomes bullshit, it elicits the best reactions from the bullshitter.

You should see what this girl looked like before she got angry.
And finally, Mary gets embarrassed by all the praise she's getting from her friends.

That's no way to talk to your friends.
And there you have it.  These are just a few of Mary Saotome's funniest moments.  May she have many more, whether it be in Kakegurui or Kakegurui Twin.

Anime Hotties: Mayumi Nishikino

Kawai Complex is a hilarious anime with a few cute girls.  Introducing Mayumi Nishikino, Kawai Complex's washed-up veteran of love. Mayumi Nishikino, a full-fledged working woman who can't find love. Mayumi is a total bitch.  She's frustrated by her inability to find love, jealous when others find it, and happy when others break up.  It's pathetic, really. It doesn't take much to make her angry. It doesn't matter whether you're nine-years old or pushing thirty like her, if you piss her off, you'll here about it...or feel it. This is what happens when you make her angry. Anime Hotties: Yaeko Minegasaki

Do you like young professional women?  Do you like women with purple hair?  Do you like Food Wars, but can't find an adult female to drool over?  Well, guess what?  She exists.  Her name is Yaeko Minegasaki. Yaeko Minegasaki isn't that hard to miss.  She's the first REAL threat Soma Yukihira faces in his quest to become a top-class chef.  She an urban planner and, as such, she's the devil. Soma is not impressed. She's a cool, mature woman.  She knows she's sexy and she's not afraid to use what she's got to get what she wants. A confident Minegasaki attempting to turn on the charm.
