Food, fanservice, and funniness. That is what Food Wars is all about. It's an awesome manga with great visuals. So how does the anime stack up? Grab a plate and let's dig in. Just like the manga, this anime is about Soma Yukihira in his quest to become a top-tier chef. The anime is almost a total copy of the manga. No big detours, not censored too heavily, and virtually no filler (yet). The characters and, most importantly, the food all come to life. The food you remember is back and in color. All your favorites are here. Naturally, with the food come the food orgasms and with the food orgasms comes fanservice. Everything you saw in the manga is only bolstered in anime form. If you liked it in the manga, you'll love it here. There's just something about seeing AND hearing this stuff in action that pushes it to another level.
